VAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Oriana is ready for prime time! This little lady is a parvo survivor. Parvovirus is a highly contagious and often fatal virus, but can be preventable thanks to vaccines.  Oriana spent way too long in isolation at the shelter and is wasting no time enjoying home life now. She’s around five months old and 25 lb and growing! Best breed guess is a hound mix.

Oriana is great with kids, cats, and dogs. She is a bundle of energy and loves to play and run in the yard. She’s happy entertaining herself or goofing off with another dog. She likes to throw her toys around and chase after them.

Oriana is very smart, adventurous, and learns very quickly. She figured out how to use the doggie door and the dog water fountain (where she steps on a pedal to get water to come out) in her first week in foster.  Oriana is very food motivated which helps with any training. She loves to chew, especially bones, antlers, and squeaky toys. She does great in her crate. She sleeps in there at night and while her foster family is out of the house. She’ll whine a little but settles down quickly.

Oriana will make a family so very happy! She will be available for adoption after 5/4. Email almosthome4dogs@yahoo.com to apply to adopt her today!

Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us atAlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!
